movabletype is up, running, and has created my new site. soon, all these archives will migrate over there. all the bugs have been ferreted out by my loyal bug-eating-bats. well, most of them anyway.

my celebration was to watch someone else play the legend of zelda: the wind waker.

that counts as nature, right? wind? water? boat? islands? right?

even though it is all animated...and not actually 3D...oh. never mind then. i guess i didnt have one this year.

last year i went to one up in purchase ny. with a lot of people i knew and didnt know. some pagans, some not, some atheists. most drunk by the end of the night. there was alcohol, cigarettes, fire, food, celebration, and a little ceremony in the middle. drums, harmonizing, dancing, all in the middle of a field for camping. portapotties off in the dark where you had to use a flashlight to get to them. staying up till sunrise, then crashing for a few hours before having to go back and crash in gellas dorm room before having to go back to the pollution-filled city and away from nature.

for samhain last year, i made the mistake of going to riverside park for the ceremony. not cause its dangerous or anything, just that the combination of polluted river, landfill park, and highway make for a very un-nature like place.

only problem with being in the city.

however, i was out walking today, and did notice all the buds on the trees and new leaves and tulips and daffodils and other spring flowers that were making an appearance.

so spring is here. finally.
